Assault On Precinct 13 (2005)
It’s anything but a Happy New Year for Sergeant Jake Roenick and the others at police precinct 13 when a busload of prisoners stranded during a snowstorm have to stay overnight. But things quickly go from bad to worse when corrupt cop Marcus Duvall and his crew are determined to keep the incarcerated Marion Bishop and everyone else from leaving the precinct alive. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Assault on Precinct 13”.
· The bus with Marion Bishop, Beck, Smiley and Anna is traveling in the snow storm. Throughout the scene, the bus can be seen traveling through heavy snowfall. But, in close-ups of the windshield, from the inside the bus looking out, there is no snow falling!
· Lieutenant Holloway is outside, near the bus when he gets shot. In the overhead view of Holloway, he can be seen falling ground and dropping his gun in the snow. But when Roenick checks on him a few moments later, the close-up of Holloway shows that the gun is back in his right hand. In the following overhead view, the gun is back in the snow again.
· When Jasper is looking out the window, he says “they’re surrounding the place”. There is a right side view of Alex with her head against the wall saying “I’m not supposed to be here”. In the first view of Alex, her hair is down, near her face. But the next view of her shows her hair pulled back behind her ear.
· CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! Near the end of the movie, Capra is handcuffed. He’s still cuffed when they escape through the tunnel. But, when Iris drives off in the SUV and it crashes, she can see the other men closing in on them and an overhead view of Iris and Capra in the SUV shows the handcuffs are now gone!
“Assault on Precinct 13” (2005) stars Ethan Hawke, Laurence Fishburne, Gabriel Byrne, Maria Bello, Drea de Matteo, John Leguizamo, Brian Dennehy, Ja Rule, Aisha Hinds and Matt Craven. It runs 109 minutes and is rated R for strong violence and language throughout, and for some content.
