There are rules to wedding crashing and Jeremy Grey and John Beckwith know them by heart. The two best friends and business partners spend their free time crashing weddings in order to meet and hook-up with female wedding guests. But things don’t go as planned when they crash the D.C. social event of the year and John meets and falls for Claire who is the daughter of U.S. Treasury Secretary William Cleary while Jeremy has his work cut out for him with Claire’s sister, Gloria. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Wedding Crashers”.
∙ When Jeremy ends up getting hit for the second time, the close-up view of Kathleen Cleary’s glass that she’s holding in her right hand shows that it’s full. But in the following far view, the glass is almost empty.
∙ Gloria and Jeremy are in the bathroom after the impromptu football game. Gloria’s shirt is tied at the bottom but she unties it when she jumps on his lap. When she’s sitting on the floor a few moments later, her shirt is tied again. But, when she crawls over to him a few moments later, her shirt is untied.
∙ After dinner, Kathleen has John cornered in the room. She proceeds to take off her blue shirt. A back view of her shows the shirt is down, just past her elbows. The following side view of her and John shows the shirt is pulled up past her left elbow, on her upper arm. The shirt then alternates from being in its original position, past her elbows (in the back view), and on her upper arm (in the side view).
∙ John and Claire are riding bikes to the beach. In several scenes, each bike can be seen with a white towel rolled up on the back. But the towels are gone when the bikes are shown at the beach and John and Claire are never seen with them. Where did they go?
“Wedding Crashers” (2005) stars Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams, Isla Fisher, Christopher Walken, Jane Seymour, Bradley Cooper, Henry Gibson, Dwight Yoakam and Rebecca DeMornay. It runs 119 minutes and is rated R for sexual content/nudity and language.
