Win the Ultimate Floral Make-Over for Your Home The ultimate floral make-over contest starts June 1, 2004. The event is sponsored by the Flower Promotion Organization (http://www.flowerpossibilities.com). The goal of the website is to urge consumers to use flowers and floral designs throughout the home in everything from bed and bath to entryways and family rooms. The website features articles, photos, and inspiring ideas for every room in the house. The contest is looking for do-it-yourself type floral designers who have created original designs for home décor. For this event, participants are urged to use talents they have learned from the website, and through other Flower Promotion Organization sources, such as print, press releases, and web-based stories. As a first step, prospective contestants should become familiar with the website. A winner will be selected each month for June, July, and August. From those, the grand winner will be chosen. The final winner will get an ultimate floral make-over of his/her home as well as the chance to become a featured designer on the website. Contestants should submit a photo of their work along with complete, step-by-step instructions along with a list of materials and supplies needed for the design. The designs for the contest must include the following flowers: Alstroemeria Carnations (standard and mini) Dahlia Delphinium, also called larkspur Freesia Gerbera Iris Lilies Lisianthus Mums, both regular and pom pom types Roses, regular and spray types Snapdragon Sunflower The deadline for June entries is June 30st, for July is July 31st, and August is August 31st. Entries can be submitted through the website or by mail (Flower Promotion Organization, P.O. Box 16, Ovid, MI 48866). | Previous Features | Site MapContent copyright © 2008 by Connie Krochmal.
