OldFashionedLiving Article Submissions
OldFashionedLiving.com is a volunteer run site owned and edited by Brenda Hyde. We are always looking for articles about family history, collectibles, memories, old fashioned crafts, family recipes and kid's projects. If you have a piece that you would like to submit please send it in an email with information about yourself first and the article in the body of the email (not as an attachment). Send your submission to editor@oldfashionedliving.com
IMPORTANT: Your articles, craft projects, recipes and tips MUST be original! You will be opening yourself up for legal action by the author, publisher or magazine that the submission comes from IF it is not original. The age of the writing DOES NOT MATTER-if you did not write it yourself you can't take credit for it. We are very happy to promote new writers and their websites as long as the work is original.
We do not pay for articles at this time, but we do link to your website and email to help promote your business, your personal site with your other writings, or a subscription email to a newsletter that you own and maintain. All links must be family safe. Your bio should be one paragraph in length.
All articles will be considered based on content, and originality. We appreciate all submissions, and will email you if your article is to be used. You retain full copyright, we have one time use of the article and it will be archived on the site. You are free to submit it to other publications as well.
- Writers guidelines for Heartwarmers4u
We welcome your submissions. Here are some tips you can use to improve your chances of getting published in Heartwarmers, Petwarmers or Gardenwarmers:
Your story should be an original story, written by you. We favor stories that have not appeared elsewhere.
Stories should be 700 words or less. On occasion we'll take up to 900 words.
We apologize that we are unable to respond, pro or con, to submissions. It can take anywhere from a day or two to several weeks for us to use your story (if it is selected.)
By submitting a Heartwarmers4u story, you automatically give us permission to use it. We don't claim copyright privileges to it, but we have authorization by you to publish it. If this presents a problem, it's best not to send your story along.
We can't pay you anything for your story, but we can make you famous! Many of our writers have gone on to sign book and magazine contracts. We have many publishers who subscribe to our service and they are always looking for new talent, so Heartwarmers is a great place to launch a writing career. We appreciate your interest.
Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you.
