As I was researching the release list for January, I came across some new names and some old names. It looks like the first month of the New Year will see music by Radiohead, Natasha Bedingfield, and Lisa Loeb. Ringo Starr will be back on the charts along with Anne Murray and a project coordinated by American Idol’s Randy Jackson.

I also noticed some soundtrack listings, which for the most part is normal. However, you will note that in January we see a Broadway Cast Recording (Xanadu) which I predict will be the first of many such works we see as new releases in 2008.

I’m excited about starting a new year, and as always, I’m excited about music. Please let me know of your likes and dislikes for 2007 and what you expect from 2008!
