Greetings and welcome to Current Events Headline Highlights Newsletter!

Headline Highlights is a weekly online newsletter designed to entertain and inform readers with up-to-date news briefs, celebrity reports, politics and entertainment tidbits of information. If you enjoy stirring debate, intriguing dialog and discussing what’s hot in the news in your home, classroom, nail salon, barbershop, get-togethers or in the office sign-up now.

Each issue is broken down into the following sections:

Top News Headline Reviews: This section will briefly summarize 3-5 top news stories of the week from around the world to local politics. It a nutshell, it’s what many of the news stations and websites covered repeatedly that week.

Quote of the Week: This section will include a old or new quote that summarizes, relates or captures the essence of current events for this week.

Devil’s Advocate: In this section, I will ask a question that directs us to see a particular topic from an opposing view point or a what if question that puts us into another society, culture or individuals shoes.

Celebrity Highlights & Lowlights: This section will cover celebrity news.
Books and Movie Reviews: This section will alternate with current movies I have seen and books that I have read.

What you should know: I will include new discoveries, strange events and political insights that are interesting and fun.

As the current events site editor, I really look forward to enriching conversations and exchanging ideas with you. We live in the speedy, modern age of technology where there is a tiny gap of time between our thoughts and published words. Unfortunately, we sometimes unintentionally offend or hurt others with our point of view or ideological perspective that may or may not be taken out of its intentional context by the reader. However, if I say something that is factually incorrect or violates a religious or cultural taboo, please notify me as soon as possible so that we can reach a mutual respect and understanding of each other’s cultural background; yet still be entitled to our personal opinions about issues and events.
