New for September....

Hello, and welcome back. I hope you've all made it safely through the latest hurricane and are finding enough reading time to enjoy some of the great new books out now. I have three new ones to share with you this time, so let's get started.

If you're looking for something outside romance, just as a change, Diane Johnson's L'Affaire
L'Affaire
(Plume) is available. Amy Hawkins has jetted off to Europe to have herself an affair and finds herself quickly in over her head with the Venn family after an avalanche on the slopes. Not my cup of tea, but I'm sure some of you may find it enjoyable.

Jill Winters has a new book out, too, Raspberry Crush
Raspberry Crush
(NAL). Billy Cabot has plenty to keep her busy without her ex, Sean Lannigan, coming back into her life. Too bad she's still madly attracted to him. I had a really hard time getting into this one. I don't know many young women who're so shallow (for lack of a better word), so I found it difficult to believe in these young women, and even more difficult when she gets tangled up in a murder. Not for me.

Finally, we have the newest from Cherry Adair, On Thin Ice
On Thin Ice
(Ballantine). Lily Munroe has her hands full keeping her attraction to Derek Wright at bay, but maintaining her feelings of guilt and anger over her late husband helps. But Derek has had enough of wanting Lily and not being able to have her, and he pulls out all the stops, even during their trek through Alaska during the Iditarod, where someone appears to be stalking Lily. How can a girl resist? Luckily for us, she can't, and neither can we. Derek is a great hero, sexy and funny and determined, and Lily's more than a match for him. This was a really fun read, and it's earned four of Cupid's five arrows.

Until next time, happy reading!
