Ever think about the myths we have wonder for years if they are true? Myth Busters on Tuesday nights at 10 P.M. ET/PT on the Discovery Channel does and they test those Myths. Adam Savage and Jamie Hynemam are in their second season as Myth Busters.

Adam Savage has for the last eight years worked in the special effect industry. Adam has also acted in a few films and commercials. Adam works for a few toy companies in research and diagnostic division. If Adam didn’t have enough things to do, he teaches advanced model making at the San Francisco Academy of Art and still works on his own art which have been in over 40 shows.

Jamie Hyneman also has his share of abilities. He is a machinist, animal wrangler, diver, linguist, and survival expert on the short list. Jamie holds a degree in Russian languages and literature. He ran a sailing and diving charters in the Caribbean for years before he started doing visual effects. He also has worked on hundreds of commercials and movies. Jamie holds several patents and has won several industry awards. Jamie created MS Industries Inc. eight years ago used by the top U.S. production companies. Jamie has worked on movies such as Star Wars I and II for Industrial Lights and Magic, Matrix for Eon Productions and others.

Put these two talented men together and you have the basis for Myth Busters. Adam and Jamie have researched several myths and urban legends in the last season. I have seen them test exploding toilets to testing the gas pump fires. Yes the boys love to see things explode and look for ways to make things go boom.

I think the grosses story was about getting the smell of a dead body out of a car. They used 2 dead pigs, sat them in the seats and locked the car up and placed it in a trailer. I won’t go into details but the car was ruined and they had to sale it as junk.

Even through the above story Jamie and Adam laugh their way through these subjects. Their upbeat way of looking at things is something we can all enjoy. So tune in on Tuesday nights at 10 P.M. ET/PT and learn what myths are true and what ones are Myth Busters.
