Singapore Changi Airport Oasis Lounge
Guest Author - Taisha Turner

Singapore Changi Airport offers many services and facilities to transit travelers. It is the best airport to find oneself when facing a long layover. The airport has a gym, swimming pool, Jacuzzi and an oxygen bar to soothe cramped muscles. Exercise is important, but so is sleep.

Singapore has places for the weary traveler to nap. The Oasis Lounge is one such place. Imagine arriving in the airport with nine hours before the next flight. You get a meal and a refreshing shower. The shops draw your attention for awhile until sleep overcomes you. Where does one go? Sleep on one of the chairs in the lobby? No, the Oasis Lounge is the place to go.

The Oasis Lounge is in Terminal 2 on Level 2 near the E Gates. It is in the far end of the wing past the free internet kiosks. Keep walking until the orange sign with the name comes into view. Enter the Singapore Changi Airport Oasis Lounge.

The Oasis Lounge is a sleeping room where transit travelers can nap for a few hours. There are padded reclining chairs with head and leg supports. There are free massage chairs in the center, also. The padded loungers extend flat for a comfortable sleep. The chairs have an added feature, a vibrating alarm clock.

The Oasis Lounge recliners come with a remote control. The control box adjusts the position and sets the alarm. Adjust the chair to your desired position and set the alarm. Remember to set the alarm to Singapore time. Your watch may be set to another time zone.

The Oasis Lounge has a full glass wall from the ceiling to the floor. Fortunately, it is at the far end of the corridor without much traffic. There are several large Plasma screen televisions which operate during the day time hours. It is best to have eye shades and ear plugs to lessen the distractions.

If you are in need of a free rest area, the Oasis Lounge is the place. It is great place to nap for a few hours. Just set the vibrating alarm to the local time and lay back and relax. The place is a popular napping area for Singapore Changi Airport transit travelers.
