Magic Attic Dolls - Dress Pattern

This pattern will fit slender dolls such as 15-16 inch Kathe Kruse, 16-17 inch Sasha, 17.25-inch Natterer Sunihil, 18 inch Magic Attic, 16.5 inch Theodor Recknagel Dolls, and other similar slim collectible and antique dolls. For clothes to fit 18 inch American Girl and other historical dolls click here.

This pattern is my original design and may not be used commercially.

Materials
1/2 yard of cotton calico fabric.
matching thread
26 inches of 1 to 1.5 inch wide flat lace, preferably with one bound edge, or 7.5 inches of pre-gathered lace.
2 snaps, hooks and eyes, or Velcro dots.

Dress front- Cut one on front fold.

Dress back - Cut two pieces.

Sleeves - Cut two with sleeve top on fold.

Skirt - Cut a length 24 inches wide and 8 inches long for a finished skirt length of 7.25 inches as in this dress on the 16.5 inch doll.

To make your .5 inch square grid graph paper

To copy the pattern by hand you can create a 1/2 inch grid by measuring every half inch and making a pencil dot all the way down and across, on all four sides of a piece of 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper. Then use your ruler or straight edge to connect the dots with your pencil. Then draw the pattern lines into each square of your grid, exactly as they are shown in my design.

Seam allowances of 1/4 inch are included.
