Fortune Telling Is Forbidden

Fortune Telling Is Forbidden
Only God knows the future. No one can predict what will happen to them next. No one knows when, where or how they will die. And why would you want to know, you would live in fear of that moment?

Chapter 31, verse 34
With God is the knowledge about the Hour. He is the One who sends down the rain and He knows the contents of the womb. No soul knows what will happen to it tomorrow and no one knows in which land he or she will die. GOD is Omniscient, Cognizant.

Mohamed did not know the future of the human race and neither did any of the prophets or the messengers. The Day of Judgement, the final Hour, is going to come upon us unexpectedly and only God knows when that time is.

Chapter 7, verses 187-188
They ask you about the Hour, when will it come to pass? Say, “The knowledge of it is only with my Lord, none but He shall manifest it at its time, it will be momentous in the heavens and the earth, it will not come on you except suddenly.” They ask you if you were concerned about it. Say, “Its knowledge is only with God but most people do not know.”

Say, "I have no power to benefit myself or harm myself. Only what God wills happens to me. If I knew the future I would have increased my wealth and no harm would have stricken me. I am no more than a warner and a bearer of good news for those who believe."

Astrology, tarot card readings, tealeaf readings, crystal ball gazing, runes, palm reading, psychic readings are all inventions of Satan. They are some of the ways that he uses to try and lead from the path of God. What better distraction from the here and now than the future?

The past has gone, the future may not come and the only moment that exists is now.

God does not permit us to predict the future because the future lies with God. All religions state this and yet people consult other people on their fate or destiny or future. People look to the stars and planets to predict the outcome of an event. They throw coins or sticks or bones to foretell of things to come. We can never know. We can guess or presume or have insight, but we can never know for sure what the next moment holds for us.

Only God knows the future and the final outcome and destination of all of His creations. Nothing anyone else tells you can make the slightest bit of difference to what your destiny holds for you. That is entirely in the hands of our Creator.
