Paradise Hotel 2 heats up
The twists, the turns, the drama. That pretty much sums up Fox Reality Channel's Paradise Hotel 2, which also airs on MyNetwork TV. I'll admit that this is one of my guilty pleasures - trashy reality TV at its best.

Eleven young male and female singles live together at an exclusive resort in their quest for the "ultimate" prize. Each week the guest left without a roommate at the elimination ceremony must leave, making room for a new guest of the opposite sex.

At this point in the show, it's all about the "originals" versus the "newbies." As a new member of the opposite sex is brought in each week, the "originals" are left battling for a spot, and the "newbies" must figure a way to get along with each other if they hope to stay.

New guest Myrna (The Princess) shakes things up when she is given the power to choose new roommates for the guests - putting each person with the member of the opposite sex that they get along with the least. Then at the elimination ceremony, where she is given immunity, she chooses Mike (The Charmer), ticking off Mike's love interest Tanya (The Flirt).

Sacrificing herself for the sake of her "original" friends, Tanya is eliminated when she chooses "newbie" Chris (The Strategist). Chris chooses Stephanie (The Blond Bombshell) over her because of their alliance. Tanya did this to save her "original" friends Lauren (The Tom Boy) and Krista (The Virgin) from having to be eliminated by one of their "original" friends James (The Pretty Boy) or Ryan (The Surfer). If she would have chose James or Ryan, I'm guessing that Lauren probably would have been sent home because the guys would have wanted to keep Tanya for Mike's sake.

Mike is visibly upset as he is losing his love interest and a close friend. Tanya uses her parting words to let Myrna know that she has shown her true colors and probably won't last in Paradise long.

Meanwhile, next week's preview leaves the hint that one of the old guests will be checking back in. Because a woman left Paradise, a man should be coming in. If so, that would mean the returning person would be Raheim (The Combatant) or Johnny (The Jock), or even possibly Nate (The Gentleman). My guess is Raheim would be the guest who could cause the most drama, so I think he will be the returning guest.

The show airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. CST on MyNetwork TV with a Mature Audience version at 12 a.m. CST on Fox Reality Channel.
