Sadly, not too long after season four of ABC Family's original Monday night series Wildfire started this year, the network took away hopes for a fifth season. But instead of leaving fans hanging, the network plans to give its loyal fans closure.

The Monday, April 28 episode was the first of the final four Wildfire episodes. Previews keep hinting that all questions will be answered and will lead up to the wedding fans have been waiting for.

Probably the biggest question is who will troubled teen-turned jockey Kris Furillo (Genevieve Cortese) marry? At the moment, she is quietly engaged to Junior Davis (Ryan Sypek), though it's no secret that Matt Ritter (Micah Alberti) is still pining for her.

Meanwhile, a horse accident has left Matt's mother Jean Ritter (Nana Visitor) unconscious in the hospital. Though she wakes long enough to have a conversation with her son and later with Kris, the episode ends with her going into a coma just as Pablo begins to tell her something he says he has been holding back for a while. I'm sure most fans are guessing that Pablo has a romantic interest with Jean.

Will Jean's coma change things for Kris? Will she back away from Junior so that she can lend Matt emotional support? Everyone Kris loves wants something different from her - she knows that Jean and Pablo don't want her with Junior, but with Matt instead.

Previews show Matt and Junior fighting, falling into a creek, and later show Junior's sister Dani Davis (Nicole Tubiola) offering to rekindle her past romance with Matt in order to make Kris jealous.

But what about Dani's relationship with her veterinarian clinic partner Dr. Noah Gleason (David Ramsey)? Though they seem to have issues over her wanting to enter the racing world again, there hasn't been any indication that their relationship is going sour.

Also coming up is another big race - Hollywood Park. Now that Kris has her jockey license back thanks to Junior, she will be racing the horse Matt rescued, Nikiya, the horse who knocked Jean down. Dani wants to race her new horse Tigerside, though Noah feels that the horse shouldn't race due to calcium buildup in his left foreleg.

Meanwhile, let's not forget Wildfire, the horse who started it all, or Wildfire's offspring, Flame. Will Wildfire race again or will Flame take on his legacy?
