Old Century Stretch Run Game

Old Century Stretch Run Game
Old Century Stretch Run is a game from Front Porch Classics Games. Like all of the Front Porch Classics games, this one is made from real wood with leather straps and die-cast metal playing pieces inn the shape of horses with jockeys.

The theme of Stretch Run is horse racing. The game box folds out into a beautiful playing board, painted and intentionally distressed for a great shabby-chic look. This line of games is called "Coffee Table Games", because the games are beautiful enough to leave out on your coffee table when you're not playing them.

The object of the game is to get your horse around the track to the finish line first, just like horse racing! Move by either rolling the die or drawing a card. Players of all ages will enjoy moving the lovely brass playing pieces around the beautifully painted track. Play three races for a stretch run derby.

The rule book also comes with a glossary of horse-racing and general horse terms, with some trivia mixed in. Did you know that all horses are assumed to share the same birthday, January 1st? Therefore, a two-year old horse (the age at which horses race the Kentucky Derby) could, in theory, be only one year and one day old.
