Tax time is just around the corner. If you want to e-file your return there are a number of online tax services that will help you prepare and e-file your federal tax return for free. You must meet certain qualifications, but if your comfortable filing on-line and your return isn’t too complicated it might be an option to explore.

Before you opt for an online service, remember to double check the requirements for free file. If you don’t qualify you will be charged a fee.

The sites listed below offer free e-file for federal returns, but most charge a fee to e-file a state return.
