What can be more fun than making several of these 12 inch fabric bunnies in plaid for special friends or to display on shelves!

In the 1st photo is a bunny doll in bright plaid along with Floppy, our resident hound - who never fails to find a way into the action!
The 2nd photo shows another plaid bunny doll and the 12 inch Anneke Dutch Doll.
Hints for working with plaid
- Allow more yardage than needed with a calico print to match the plaid pattern.
- Match plaids at tops of arms and legs, and even if material widens or narrows you still have the perpendicular pattern in line across the seam.
- If you are cutting out pieces from 2 layers of material be very careful each plaid layer is perfectly matched over the other.
- When lining up where the face of the bunny will be on the material, keep symmetry in mind. I chose to keep the nose the central feature in the bunnies in the photo.
- Choose contrasting colors for embroidering the features so they stand out from the plaid.
- Another way to display your bunny dolls is as a sidekick to your computer monitor.

Most of all, have fun making these bunny dolls - from start to finish I count on 5 hours to make each.
