Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic, RFB&D, awards nine scholarships to blind, legally blind, and visually impaired college seniors each year.
According to the RFB&D website, applicants must be able to meet all of the following requirements in order to be eligible for the awards:
1. Be legally blind;
2. Be registered with RFB&D for at least one year prior to the annual March 1 application deadline;
3. Have received, or will receive, a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year
collge or university in the US or its territories. Applicants need not plan to continue their schooling);
4. Have an overall undergraduate academic average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent);
5. Provide evidence of leadership, enterprise and service to others.
Three $6,000.00, three $3,000.00, and three $1,000.00 awards will be presented.
