Southeast Asia Visa and Passport Requirements - Cambodia
The Cambodian government requires a passport and visa for entry. A passport valid for six months with a blank page is necessary. Mail it plus three completed visa applications and two passport sized photographs to the Cambodian embassy in the national’s country (this requirement varies from country to country). Also, include the processing and courier fees. The embassy will return the passport with the visa stamp to the applicant.

The visa is valid for thirty days of travel in Cambodia. Travel must begin within a period of three months from the date of the visa's issuance. The Cambodian government will extend the visa for an another month, if additional time is needed after arrival.

Invest in a passport holder. I prefer the kind which is waterproof and worn as belt around the waist. It is worn under your clothes and not seen by others. The holder is divided into separate sections for passport, money and credit cards. It is so comfortable the wearer can sleep with it around the waist.

The type which hangs about the neck invites trouble and who wants someone pulling on a strong cord around the neck. Remember to carry only the amount of money needed for the day’s activities in your pocket and the rest placed safely away.
