Travel Aids - Food Allergy Cards
Guest Author - Taisha Turner

Travelers with food allergies have to watch what they consume. Many travelers have trouble saying the prohibited ingredient name in the foreign country’s language. The problem is now solved.

A great company, Select Wisely, has created food translation cards. The cards have a picture of the prohibited food marked with the red international symbol for forbidden. The phase, “I am allergic to . . . ( fill in the blank), is in the destination language. The cards are laminated and wallet-size.

The cards are available in fifteen different languages. Some of the common food problems are eggs, nuts, pork, and soy. Many more are listed. Pick the food and the translation needed. Cut and paste the URL listed below.

Also, there are cards for the Lactose Intolerance, Vegetarian and Gluten-Free. If food allergies are a problem, visit www.selectwisely.com. Information for purchasing the card are available at the site. Just cut and paste.
