Captain America - The Winter Soldier

Captain America - The Winter Soldier
Steve Rogers a.k.a. Captain America might have awakened to a world that’s completely different than the one he remembers, but he soon learns that when it comes to the battle between good and evil, some things never change. When it becomes apparent that S.H.I.E.L.D. has been compromised, Captain America, along with help from Natasha Romanoff a.k.a. Black Widow and Sam Wilson a.k.a. Falcon, must battle an old foe in the form of HYDRA and a familiar one in the form of the Winter Soldier. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Captain America – The Winter Soldier”.

∙ When they’re watching the doctors work on Nick Fury through the window, Agent Hill is standing on the left with Natasha in the middle to her right and Captain America is standing to Natasha’s right. In the close-up, when Natasha says “Don’t do this to me Nick”, the view shows Natasha is on the left and Agent Hill is to her right. It’s back to the original line-up a few moments later.

∙ Natasha and Captain America are in the computer store trying to find out the
contents of the flash drive. In the close-up, when Natasha says “nine minutes from now”, she’s shown plugging the flash drive into the port on the left side of the computer, to the right of the white cord. A few moments later, the scene shows the side of the computer again when she mentions running a tracer and the flash drive is no longer plugged into the computer. (The ports are empty.) But the flash drive is back in a close-up of the computer and Steve eventually takes it with them when they have to run.

∙ When Steve and Natasha are in the bunker and the doors shot, sealing them inside, the farther view of Natasha shows her holding her phone with three fingers completely wrapped around the back and her index finger is bent at the middle of the phone. Her thumb appears to be on the front. The scene cuts to a close-up of the phone where it says “Incoming Missile” at the top and the bottom three fingers are still wrapped around the phone but the tip of her index finger can also be seen around the back. Her thumb is on the side. It cuts back to the farther view when she says they have thirty seconds and she’s holding the phone with her fingers (and bent index finger) in the original position.

“Captain America – The Winter Soldier” (2014) stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Robert Redford, Samuel L. Jackson, Emily Van Camp and Cobie Smulders. It runs 136 minutes and is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence, gunplay and action throughout.
