Ghostbusters

Ghostbusters
Three professors who study paranormal activity lost their college jobs and decide to go into business together. Setting up their headquarters in an old firehouse, the trio battle take calls from everyday people to battle the paranormal forces that are bothering them--for a price of course. But who are they going to call when New York City get overrun?. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Ghostbusters”.

∙ At the beginning of the movie, the librarian has a wooden book cart. In the up close, front view of her, the librarian is holding on to the top part/handle of the cart with both hands. But, in the very next overhead view, she is holding on to the top shelf with her left hand while her right hand is still on the handle.

∙ Egon is already at the library when Venkman arrives. When Peter tries to get Egon’s attention, he picks up a book and slams it on the table. But in the very next view of the table, the book isn’t there anymore.

∙ Dana has a bag of groceries when she’s first shown. At first there’s a green leafy veggie peeking out the top of the bag but when she hands the bag to Louis, the eggs are poking out. Also during the scene, when the eggs begin to pop out of the carton and onto the counter in Dana’s kitchen, they change position between close-up and far views.

∙ Venkman catches up with Dana and her violinist friend. In a back view, the friend grabs his violin case from under his left arm with his right hand. But in the next front view, the case is still under his left arm. It then alternates from being in his right hand (in back views) and under his left arm (front views).

∙ The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is coming to get Egon, Venkman, Ray and Winston. He’s wearing a blue bandana around his neck with a red tie at the bottom but it’s missing when the Ghostbusters first start to fire at him.

“Ghostbusters” (1984) stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Sigourney Weaver, Rick Moranis, Annie Potts and Ernie Hudson. It runs 105 minutes and is rated PG for violence/gore and frightening/intense sequences.
