Frozen

Frozen
Princess Elsa is born with the power make ice and snow, a power that her parents try to keep secret from everyone else, including their other daughter, Anna. But when Elsa becomes queen and her secret is revealed, she’s unable to control trapping their kingdom of Arendelle in an infinite winter. It’ll be up to Anna with the help of ice peddler Kristoff, his reindeer, Sven, and an animated snowman, Olaf, to save the day. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Frozen”.

∙ Kristoff is in the barn singing to Sven. In the left side view of him, his gray hat is in the hay next to his boots. Anna barges in and says “nice duet” and he drops his guitar in the hay. The guitar is farther up in the hay than the hat. It cuts to a front view of Kristoff after Anna tells him she wants him to take her to North Mountain and the hat is in the hay, next to the neck of the guitar. The guitar is farther down now.

∙ When they’re being chased by the wolves through the forest, Anna lights the bedroll. In the close-up, she’s shown dropping the lit torch behind the bedroll on the sled. It’s never shown after that even though the torch probably would have caught the rest of the sled on fire.

∙ Olaf is next to Anna on the steps in Elsa’s castle. Anna tells Elsa to wait and starts to run up the steps. Olaf should be there, near the bottom but when Anna says “don’t shut me out”, the view of the stairs behind her shows nothing is there.

∙ When the Marshmallow Monster tosses Anna and Kristoff down the stairs, the view of them falling shows Anna’s hat isn’t on her head. (Her ears are visible.) But when it shows them in the snow when he tosses Olaf’s head, her hat is on her head, covering her ears.

∙ As they’re trying to escape from the Marshmallow Monster, Anna and Kristoff are tied with ropes around their waists, trying to climb off the cliff. When Marshallow grabs it, Anna cuts the rope. The overhead view of Anna and Kristoff falling shows they’re still tied together and the rope is around their waists. But when they land and get out of the snow, there’s no rope to be seen.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! Kristoff and Sven are walking away from Arendelle after leaving Anna at the castle. Sven stops to look back and their tracks can be seen in the snow behind them. But when Kristoff sees the clouds and starts running back, there are no tracks for them to follow.

“Frozen” (2013) features the voices of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad, Santino Fontana and Alan Tudyk. It runs 102 minutes and is rated PG for some action and mild rude humor.
