Zoolander
Derek Zoolander is on top of the modeling world---until the newcomer, Hansel, steals his limelight. After losing his coveted Male Model of the Year award to Hansel, Derek finds himself questioning his career until the infamous fashion designer, Mugatu, convinces him to be the face of his new fashion line. Unbeknownst to Derek, Mugatu has other plans for him—including brainwashing the model to kill the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Zoolander”.

∙ Derek is being consoled by his roommates. While they’re driving down the road, they’re all drinking out of clear plastic cups. But, during the explosion, it’s a Starbucks coffee cup that flies through the air.

∙ When Derek and Matilda meet J. P. Prewitt at the graveyard, he suggests thy go for a walk. In the far view of the three of them, it shows they pass by a mausoleum / vault in the background. A cross tombstone with a ring of flowers is in the foreground. When Matilda drops her light and Derek realizes who he’s talking to, Prewitt tells them to keep moving. When he stands up and they start walking again, they’re in the same spot they originally started at.

∙ Matilda and Derek arrive at Hansel’s home, looking for a place to hide. Hansel opens the door and he’s wearing a necklace, including one with a circular pendant that falls over his shirt. When Matilda says “Excuse me, Hansel”, the close-up of him shows the pendant is not there. It cuts to Matilda and Derek and then back to Hansel and the pendant is dangling in front again. When Hansel comments “And?”, the pendant is gone. It’s back again when he says “You’re cool to hide here”.

∙ Derek and Hansel are in Maury’s office. When Derek gets ready to leave for the show, he hands Hansel his phone. In the close-up of Hansel, when he says “Ahhh” and shakes his head, he’s already holding the phone in his left hand. But, when Derek says “take it”, he shoves the phone into Hansel’s hand again.

“Zoolander” (2001) stars Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Christine Taylor, Will Ferrell, Milla Jovovich, Jerry Stiller, David Duchovny and Jon Voight. It runs 90 minutes and is rated PG-13 for sexual content and drug references.
