Batman Forever

Batman Forever
Val Kilmer’s one and only appearance as the caped crusader was 1995’s “Batman Forever”. Batman has his hands full with the law abiding district attorney turned criminal, Harvey Dent aka Two Face, along with the mischief of Dr. Edward Nygma aka The Riddler. When Bruce Wayne takes the young Dick Grayson under his wing after the teen’s family is killed, the duo must team up to stop Two Face and Riddler’s evil plans which include manipulating the brainwaves of Gotham’s citizens. Add to the chaos, the overzealous Dr. Chase Meridian, who wants to know the secret of the man behind the mask, and the Dynamic Duo may have their hands full. Here are some movie mistakes to look for while watching “Batman Forever”.

∙ When Two Face and his cronies show up at the circus, there is a close-up view of the two drummers in costume being knocked out. But when Two Face is center stage, the two drummers can be seen getting knocked out again.

∙ When Bruce Wayne flashes back to his younger self, he’s shown leaving his parents’ wake with his father’s book. As he’s walking, Bruce falls into a cave. While he’s falling, he lets go of the book, however, when he lands, it’s still in his hand.

∙ Bruce Wayne gets hit by a bullet when Two Face and Riddler raid Wayne Manor. When Bruce regains consciousness, his head is on a pillow with his initials, “BW”, on his left. But in the very next view, after Alfred asks how he is doing, the initials are gone.

∙ Robin and Chase Meridian have their mouths taped and hands bound behind them when Batman comes to their rescue. Riddler then releases them into the pit and Batman dives after them. When Batman reaches Robin, Robin’s hands are still tied but the tape around his mouth is gone.

“Batman Forever” (1995) stars Val Kilmer, Chris O’Donnell, Tommy Lee Jones, Jim Carrey, Nicole Kidman, Michael Gough, Pat Hingle, Drew Barrymore and Debi Mazar. It runs 121 minutes and is rated PG-13 for strong stylized action.
