Diagonal Blocks Bracelet







I love this bracelet for using leftover cylinder beads, it's deceptively simple. It looks like a more intricate technique that it actually is. It's just even count flat peyote stitch.







You will need a border color, plus whatever color delicas you want for the blocks, for my example I used pink and dark charcoal. Needle and thread, I used silamide. I'm planning on making one in pinks and reds soon too, and I think it would look lovely in rainbow colors!
(If you know basic flat peyote you can skip this part)
Thread on a stop bead leaving a tail long enough to weave in and add a clasp.
Thread on 9 border color beads, go into the second bead from the last bead added, add a block color, (called grey and pink from here out ) skip the 3rd grey bead in the start row, and pass needle and thread through the next bead, repeat, add a grey bead, and go through the first bead.






Repeat for 3 rows.
Next row, all grey beads.

Next row (increase row), work in grey again, then at the end, instead of turning, add 2 grey beads, then repeat the first steps, this creates the diagonal blocks.







Work until it's long enough minus the size of the clasp you choose to use and then finish it off, add your clasp and weave in all the ends.
The clasp I used is made with a simple flat peyote bead and loop.
