Free Food at Denny’s on April 8th

Guest Author - Charisse Van Horn

You might have missed out on Denny’s last free Grand Slam offer, the one that was promoted during the Super Bowl and had a tremendous turnout. Well, have no fear, you can get your Grand Slam Breakfast, and when you pay for it, your friend can get a free Grand Slamwich, Denny’s new sandwich that promises to be a combination of a Grand Slam breakfast and a sandwich is available for free when their friend orders a Grand Slam Breakfast at regular price. The offer is in 1500 locations nationwide, and will be held during the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. on April 8th 2009.

The new Grand Slamwich will retail for $4.99 normally, and contains the same delectable ingredients found in a Grand Slam breakfast. Scrambled eggs surrounded by a meat medley consisting of ham, sausage, and bacon is topped with cheese, mayonnaise, maple and spices, and is held together with two slices of potato bread, umm delicious!

In addition to this special on April 8th, Denny’s also offers a Kids Eat Free menu at special locations. Make sure to check with your local Denny’s for specifics, but typically their Kids Eat Free menu is served on Tuesday nights and possibly on Saturday nights between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M. The kids eat free offer applies to children ten years old and under and you can get two free kids’ entrees for each adult entrée ordered at regular price.

If you have children and would like to take full advantage of all of the offers that Denny has, you might want to consider joining their Birthday Club. Children who are members of Denny’s Birthday Club will be entitled to a free entrée and free sundae that is ordered from the children’s menu. It’s important to note that the free birthday items are in addition to one adult entrée that has been ordered at regular price, but hey, you wouldn’t want to sit there and watch your child eat in front of you anyway.

Something that I find great about Denny’s is that you can view all of the nutrition content of their items at their website. If you have food allergies, as I do, this information is invaluable. They have pdf documents containing the ingredients and nutritional information for their Breakfast entrees and a la carte items, condiments, beverages, kids entrees and desserts, soups, salads, sandwiches, their senior menu, side dishes, appetizers, adult entrees, and a separate document that details allergens. If you are a huge fan of Denny’s bring a friend and try the new Grand Slam Sandwich, (or each of you order a Grand Slam Breakfast and give each other a Grand Slam Sandwich) it’s a great way to spend some time together and get a great deal for free.
