Two Cases of Spouses Killing Spouses
Guest Author - Julie Sullivan

Schelissa Gosserand was found guilty of manslaughter and obstruction of justice

on Tuesday in the death of her husband. Gosserand told the jury in testimony

that her husband Michael had been sexually assaulting her on the night that

she killed him. She stabbed him more than once in an attempt to defend herself

from literally being choked by him.

Schelissa Gosserand's own brother, Jarrod Hebert, 37, pled guilty on Monday to

taking part in the disposal of his brother-in-law's body.

Gosserand and Hebert placed Michael Gosserand's lifeless body inside of a

freezer that was filled with ice and other frozen items. They then took the

freezer to a location behind the Village Townhouse Apartments in Slidell,

Louisiana.

In another case of one spouse obviously killing the other. In Columbus,

Ohio, a 76-year-old man was shot by police after refusing to drop his gun

that he held up to them.

Inge Brown had been shot twice in the head at Mount Carmel Hospital on

Tuesday. It is believed that her own husband Harry Brown was the "shooter"

of the invalid woman who had suffered a stroke and had Altzheimers disease.

After police arrived at Brown's apartment to question him in possible connection

to the killing of Inge Brown. Harry Brown then proceeded to pull out a gun

on the officers and refused to put the gun down as ordered. He was shot as a

result of his own defiance in not obeying the law.

No one knows the motive or exactly why Harry Brown would shoot his own wife?

But a note was left behind by the 76-year-old man apologizing to police for

his actions apparently. It was also known that Brown's wife was going to be

put into a nursing home after her stay at Mount Carmel Hospital was over.
