Cheap Accommodations in Japan - Manboo's Booths
Welcome to the Manboo Chains' world of cheap entertainment, food and accommodations. Manboo booths are open 24/7. There are booths for viewing television, DVD and playing Xbox and PS2 Playstation games.

What does this mean to the budget traveler? Not only does Manboo rent booths by the hour, they rent booths overnight. This gives the budget traveler cheap and secure accommodations in which to sleep. Also, booth rental includes access to the pristine showers. The price, for all of this, is a cheap US$11.00 per night.

The booth has a computer and television. There are slippers and a foot rest. In each booth, there is a telephone to place food orders. In addition, the booths have large, padded reclining chairs. Some of the Manboo booths have comfy sofas.

Manboo provides free coffee, tea and soda. Inexpensive food and snacks are available for purchase. The menu is on the booth’s wall.

The Manboo chains presently have 45 locations in Japan. There are several locations in Tokyo. The claustrophobic, budget traveler in Japan should skip the capsule hotel and give a Manboo booth a try. Hundreds of Japanese office workers use the Manboo booths.

Invest in a passport holder. I prefer the kind which is waterproof and worn as belt around the waist. It is worn under your clothes and not seen by others. There is a zipper compartment divided for passport, money and credit cards. It is so comfortable the wearer can sleep with it around the waist.

The type which hang about the neck invites troubles and who wants someone pulling on a strong cord around the neck. Remember to carry the amount of money needed for the day’s activities in your pocket and the rest placed away safely.
