The orangutans of Borneo and Sumatra are facing extinction. There are only, twenty thousand left in the wild. Their number is decreasing due to the lost of a natural habitat. This lost are due illegal logging, poaching, forest fires and an increase in the number of farms.
Orangutans are native only to the Malaysian island. The island lies in the center of the Indian Ocean. This once heavily tropical forest paradise is being decimated by man. The orangutans are losing their forest homes.
Assistance is needed to save these wonderful apes. Sponsor an orangutan and help keep the forest alive with orangutans. If interested, visit the sites below.
