Spring Earrings

Spring Earrings

You will need

4 1 1/2 inch sterling head pins

2 pressed glass flower beads, center drilled

4 pressed glass leaves, top drilled

needle nose pliers

round nosed pliers

2 silver daisy spacer beads

pen or something to use as a small mandrel

Another fast and simple project to celebrate spring. We didn't really have spring here. It was winter then suddenly summer!

Put 1 daisy spacer, 1 flower, and one leaf on each of the head pins, then using the needle nose pliers, bend the head pins up 90 degrees from the beads leaving a little space for the accents.

Wrap the end of the wire around the mandrel to create the round hook for the earrings, then bend the ends of the wire just slightly .

Slide the remaining 2 leaf beads on each of the 2 remaining head pins, and then bend the wire at a 90 degree angle up from the leaves

Then make a small loop in the top of pin using the round nose pliers, coil the wire using the needle nose, so it looks like this, you will have to bend the wire at the end of the coil.

Slide the leaf pins on the earrings, you can wear them with or without.

I know this project is pretty simple, and some of them are. What I want to do is inspire people to try new things. So suppose you try this simple project, and think.. hey.. kind of cute.. but you know.. I have some gorgeous 15's that would make better flowers! Or hmm.. I like the earring jacket idea, what if I....
I love seeing what people are doing with the ideas! Please do email me with pictures!
