National Family Game Night

National Family Game Night
September 28th, 2011 is National Family Game Night. This event is sponsored by Hasbro. Families are encouraged to spend some time together playing games. Hasbro is offering a recycling program where families can send in their old board games and save on new ones. You can trade in your old games that have missing parts and receive reward points which you then can use on new games.

National Family Game Night is an annual event that can help families establish a regular game night. While National Family Game Night falls on a Wednesday, you can play games any night that works for your family. You may want to rotate days for busy weeks. Here are some board games that are good for family fun.

Wits and Wagers is a board game where trivia meets Las Vegas. Give your best guess for an answer and then be on the answer you believe to be right. Wits and Wagers also comes in a family edition.

Froggie Boogie is a fun easy game for families with young children. Players roll the die and hop around the lilly pads with their baby frogs - being careful to avoid the careful eye of their parents.

Elefun is another fun game for families with young kids. Take your butterfly net and catch as many butterflies as you can.

The Settlers of Catan is a great board game for families with older children. Barter and sell your way to victory as you build roads, settlements, and cities.

National Family Game Night is held each year in September.
