Summer is finally here, so let's celebrate! How about a backyard barbecue or a pool party? I am very fortunate to live in an area with beaches nearby in every direction and there is nothing better than a cookout on the beach with a group of good friends!

Start by choosing your location. It can be your yard, deck, park, or beach. Select a spot that allows either grilling or a campfire. If there is already seating there, great! If not,let everyone you invite know that they need to bring something to sit on.

Now go shopping for the standard grill out fare -burgers, dogs, buns, premade salads, chips, beverages, and desserts. S'mores are a perfect option! You can get more extravagant and gourmet with the types of food that you will serve, but this time of year, it's not necessary at all!

Pick out some great music to play, like Blues, Hot Jazz, Reggae, or Salsa, to heat things up! And last, but certainly not least, be sure to invest in BOTH citronella products to keep insects at bay, as well as bug spray to protect all those who are near and dear to you!
