Meet Me Kole Wells
Guest Author - Shelia M. Goss

Shelia Goss: Please tell the readers a little about you. Is Me Kole a stage name?
Me Kole Wells:
Yes it is.

Shelia: What type of music do you sing?
Me Kole:
Every and anything with a jazz base. I love jazz. I don't think I would sing anything else.

Shelia: Are you an independent artist or with a major record label?
Me Kole:
Yes I'm a independent artist. A deal with a major label is in the works.

Shelia: What's the title of your CD and/or single?
Me Kole: Full Circle
is the title of my recent CD. Stories In Life is the title of my second CD, due to be released December 2005.

Shelia: Do you play any instruments?
Me Kole:
No, but would like to learn one day to play the paino. But for now my voice is my instrument.

Shelia: Who writes your songs? If you do, what's your inspiration?
Me Kole:
I write all of my songs. I'm inspired most by daily living and those around me. The smallest things can inspire me to write.

Shelia: Besides singing, what are some of your other interests?
Me Kole:
Acting and gardening. I have a very big green thumb.

Shelia: If I were to go to your stereo, whose CDs would I find in it?
Me Kole:
Sarah Vaughn, Buck Owens, and anything jazzy.

Shelia: Please share with BellaOnline your favorite performance experience.
Me Kole:
I was singing at the San Francisco Jazz Fest and Johnathan Butler was there performing as well. He heard me perform and asked that I join him on stage to do background vocals.

Shelia: What advice would you give aspiring singers?
Me Kole:
No matter how rough it gets, NEVER, EVER give up on the beauty of living your dream.

Shelia: What is a typical day like for Me Kole Wells?
Me Kole:
Busy, and full of the ins and outs of an independent artist. Right now I'm the lead in the off Broadway play Menopause, so the majority of my time is devoted to the play. It runs through December in Charlotte, NC at the Capri Theather. We're in talks now to take it on the road. Aside from that, I'm writing and recording songs for my upcoming release, Stories In Life. So every minute of my day is accounted for, but I'm loving it.
