Marina Bay – Singapore’s Top Appeal

As the most developed country in Southeast Asia, Singapore continues to further support the growth of the city-state country by creating Marina Bay, a reclaimed land located at the southern tip of Singapore. It is a green field site of 890 acres surrounded by water and gardens which extend Singapore’s downtown district as a major business spots and financial services in Asia. Opened in 2010, Marina Bay is an attractive place to investors and becomes the favorite destination for locals and tourists. You can explore the greenery parks, waterfront promenade and enjoy some events, exhibitions and celebrations at the Bay. Pedestrians can move around at ease and comfort on the street, above or underground. Shady sidewalks and seamless connectivity to the city and airport give the people immediate access to the rest of the island.

Some of the points of interests in Marina Bay are:

Esplanade - Theaters on the Bay
The waterside building is located along side Marina Bay on the waterfront land. The unique design of the building is resembled to durian,( a tropical fruit with sharp prickles and strong odor). It offers a wide range of programs: opera, dances, and classical concerts with various prices from $20 up to over $100. However, there are free entertainments on the outdoor riverside stage during the weekends.

ArtScience Museum
This is the world’s first ArtScience museum and the largest private museum in Singapore. It is part of the Marina Bay Sands integrated resort. It mainly hosts exhibitions for international touring exhibitions from the famous collections in the world, like Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition”, “Harry Potter: The Exhibition”. Open daily from 10am – 10pm

Gardens by the Bay
Opened in June 2012, it is a futuristic park consisting of three waterfront gardens, Bay South, Bay East and Bay Central spanning approximately 250 acres of reclaimed land in central Singapore. It opens daily from 5 am – 2 am for the outdoor gardens and 9 am – 9 pm for cooled conservatories and skyway. It offers the visitors a lively horticultural experience that houses over 250 thousand rare plants.

Marina Bay Sands Casino
This is one of the most crowded places where you can try your luck in Marina Bay Sands Casino, the extravagant and largest casino in Singapore which opens 24 hours. Tourists can enter for free but you need to show your ID and an age limit of 16 applies.

Where to eat
You can choose from the finest restaurants, cafes and bars to the outdoor eateries like Glutton Bay at the Esplanade Mall. Here you will find some of Singapore’s best food with the price range from $5-30
There are some other interesting places around Marina Square to indulge yourself. At Marina Bay Sands SkyPark for a three-course menu from $ 50 you can complement your dining pleasure with breathtaking views of Singapore’s city skyline and of Marina Bay. There is also an outdoor dining area but it is not included access to the public SkyPark.
