Shelia Goss: Please introduce yourself.
DJ Lady D: I go by the name of Lady D. I’m 19 and I’ve been rapping since I was 13. I was born in Jackson, MS. I’ve performed in Jackson, Alabama, New Orleans and Miami.

Shelia: Did you have any relatives in New Orleans?
Lady D: Yes. Everybody lost their homes. Some are staying with us and some are in Dallas.

Shelia: How long have you been a DJ and how did you get your start?
Lady D: I got my start through David Banner. We’ve known each other since staying in the Queens neighborhood. Jkwon also inspired me to rap. He's one of the best rappers I've ever met and I look up to him.

Shelia: Who are some of your favorite singers/rappers?
Lady D: Jkwon...David Banner...Young Jeezy...BG...R Kelly...Trez Songz…

Shelia: Do you sing as well as rap?
Lady D: Yes.

Shelia: What type of venues do you perform at?
Lady D: I’ve performed in clubs and celebrity basketball games.

Shelia: If I were to go to your stereo, whose CDs would I find in it?
Lady D: Jkwon...David Banner...R Kelly...Young Jeezy...BG...Trez Songz

Shelia: Please share with BellaOnline your favorite performance experience.
Lady D: It was a celebrity ball game. I met a lot of people.

Shelia: What can people expect from you in the future?
Lady D: For me to represent for the ladies and be the best rapper ever.

Shelia: Describe your personality in three words or less.
Lady D: Sweet(nice), honest…most of all, I’m real…nothing about me is fake.

Shelia: What advice would you give other young ladies who are interested in doing what you’re doing?
Lady D: Don’t give up…no matter what someone says to you, believe and you can make it.
