Teddy Geiger America's Next Teen Heartthrob

Shelia Goss: Please introduce yourself to the readers.
Teddy Geiger: I’m from New York. I auditioned for "In Search of the New Partridge Family" show and that’s when I met the record producer, Billy Mann and eventually signed with Columbia Records.

Shelia: How long did it take you to record the album?
Teddy: It took five weeks to record the album and the acoustics EP.

Shelia: How do you juggle school with recording and touring?
Teddy: During the time I was recording the album, I had a tutor. I’ll probably get [another] tutor.

Shelia: If I were to go to your stereo, whose CDs would I find in it?
Teddy: Ben Folds…Cardigans

Shelia: How was it to be on tour with Hilary Duff?
Teddy: She’s awesome. It’s my first tour and it’s very exciting. We’re just finishing up the dates.

Shelia: Please share with BellaOnline your favorite performance experience.
Teddy: The show in Maryland with Click Five. The people were great. The crowd was excited. It was fun to play there.

Shelia: Do you have input to the songs you sing?
Teddy: I wrote most of the album. Most of the CD I had previously downloaded in my basement.

Shelia: What advice would you give other aspiring singers?
Teddy: I would advise to take lessons and learn as much as you can.

Shelia: How do you feel when people say you’re a teen heartthrob?
Teddy: I like to be considered as an artist, singer, and songwriter. But being known as a heartthrob is not a bad thing.

Shelia: Is there anything else you would like to say to your fans?
Teddy: Thanks for checking out the shows and listening to my music.

Shelia: What’s next for you?
Teddy: [Besides the new album--Underage Thinking]I filmed a pilot, Love Monkey, starring Tom Cavanaugh, Jason Priestly, Larenz Tate, and Judy Greer earlier this year. I just got word that it was picked up by CBS for midseason.

Congratulations on your new album--Underage Thinking and the show, Love Monkey.
