Bonnie Raitt Souls Alike CD Review

Every since I heard the song, "I Can't Make You Love Me," I've been a Bonnie Raitt fan. I was thrilled to get my copy of Souls Alike in the mail. I couldn't wait until I got home, so I tore the plastic off and popped it into the player before I could pull out the parking lot of the post office. I immediately decided that the first song on SOULS ALIKE, "I Will Not Be Broken" would be my theme song for the Fall because lately so many obstacles have been thrown my way. I've had the CD for a few weeks now and have yet to get tired of listening to it. "Trinkets" reminds me of what we like to call in the south, "down home blues." Hearing "I Don't Want Anything to Change" made me teary-eyed as I thought of my family and friends. "Two Lights in the Nighttime" had me clapping my hands (not while driving).

Souls Alike is a lyrical and musical masterpiece by one of the best artists of our time--Bonnie Raitt.
