ChickaDEE is the companion website. Chirp is the sister publication for preschool children.

National Geographic Kids is an absolute must for any collection serving children. Well written articles and excellent photography are the hallmarks of this magazine. The web site includes links to fun facts, games and other activities, as well as the online version of the monthly feature article.

Activities are designed by be both educational and fun. The website includes sections on science news, science fun, a teachers guide, and links to webcams around the world!

Owl is a sister publication to Chickadee and Chirp. Children 9 to 14 years old will discover intersting facts about nature, science, and the world around them. The photography is superb and the articles are well-written. The articles are brief with a high-interest factor, perfect for the reluctant reader. OwlKids includes activities and a link to Cyber Family for parents.

Ranger Rick is a favorite with the 6 to 12 year olds. Informative articles and eye-catching photography makes this magazine a "must have." Issues feature colorful animal photos, funny drawings, and exciting stories that inform children about nature, outdoor adventure, and helping the environment. The online version of the magazine includes web sites for homework help, activity of the month ideas, selected articles from current and past issues along with a subject index of topics covered in Ranger Rick back through the mid-1960's, and articles in Spanish.

Your Big Backyard is also published by the National Wildlife Federation. The stated intent is to teach children, 3-6 years old, about the world around them while providing early reading experiences. Parent sections are included. The sister publication of Ranger Rick. The web site includes description of contents for the current and past issues, and activity and craft suggestions.
