Motogp testing is being held at Sepang in Malaysia where hopefully we will get a glimpse of next seasons racing. Marco Melandri topped the unofficial time sheets for Fortuna Honda with Nicky Hayden on Repsol Honda close behind him. Carlos Checa riding for Honda Pons filled the third spot.

The new riders in MotoGP class put on a good showing with Dani Pedrosa on Repsol Honda showing his 2006 potential in the Premier class by slotting into fourth position in the time sheets. Chris Vermuluelen riding a Suzuki was down in twelth place on his first day of official testing. Randy de Puniet finished thirteenth behind the Australian on a Kawasaki.

Talks are apparently continuing with Max Biaggi and Kenny Roberts Team, if they do sign the Roman Emperor, it should add a bit more fire to the season as Max will continue his quest for a Premier class championship.
