Setting the Table Tips

In Association with Art.comThere doesn't need to be a special occasion to serve this elegant summer brunch. During the summer I enjoy having friends and family over for various dinners. Sometimes, I like to serve a brunch too. This menu can be used for a small gathering or a special occasion such as a bridal or baby shower or perhaps a special birthday.

You can choose to create all or select your favorites from the menu below. Maybe if you're having a small gathering, you might choose the gin fizz, eggs benedict, ham steak and fruit compote. For a larger gathering you can make double batches of the recipes and add other favorites.

Serve your brunch on a side buffet or a separate table or dish out individual servings for a plated affair. It's easy to make a brunch elegant. Use your china and special occasion flatware and polish up your Aunt Mabel's silver. Add a pitcher of fresh flowers in the middle of the table or place individual roses in teacups next to each place setting. You can also pinch off the heads of daisies and use for napkin garnishment or for decoration around the food.

Elegant Summer Brunch Menu

Smoothies - Smoothies are a great addition to your menu, especially for those who don't want alcohol or for any kids that might be on hand.

Lisa's Gin Fizz - The ultimate beginning to your brunch. This drink is light, refreshing and yummy! A great alternative to the traditional Mimosas.

Stuffed French Toast - The best recipe for French toast I've ever had. Your guests will beg you to host a brunch every weekend.

Ham and Cheese Gratin - Cheesy, hammy and yummy!

Eggs Benedict - Add a touch of elegance to your brunch with this delectable and decadent dish.

Blueberry Buckle - When my mother-in-law first made this recipe, I wanted to eat the whole dessert myself. This will absolutely become a breakfast or anytime favorite.

Old-Fashioned Pecan Sticky Buns - Enjoy these before or after your main meal. You'll need to make the dough the day before your brunch.

Fresh Fruit Compote - A refreshing end to your meal.
