Emma Roberts Fabulous Interview

“Unfabulous and more” is the soundtrack to the hit Nicklodeon show “Unfabulous” starring Emma Roberts. In its second season, this young starlet showcases her singing and acting skills not only on the show but on the soundtrack.

Shelia Goss: How long have you been singing?
Emma Roberts: I’ve been singing since I was little.

Shelia: How did it feel to hear one of your songs on the radio?
Emma: It was really cool. I worked really hard on the album.

Shelia: How much input did you have on your album?
Emma: I had a lot of input. I was sent some songs and I got to pick the songs for the album.

Shelia: How long did it take you to record your album?
Emma: It took over a week. I spent a whole week recording.

Shelia: Who are some of your favorite singers?
Emma: The Veronicas, Michelle Branch, Vanessa Carlton.

Shelia: Is it hard to juggle your music with acting?
Emma: No, because on the show I act and sing.

Shelia: Which do you prefer: acting or singing?
Emma: I like both. Acting a little bit more only because I’ve been doing it longer.

Shelia: Tell me more about how you ended up starring in Unfabulous.
Emma: I had a meeting with Nickoledeon and had an audition. They thought I would be good for a show idea. It was long audition process. I was excited because I always wanted to have a show.

Shelia: How long have you been acting?
Emma: I’ve been acting since I was 10, but knew I wanted to act every since I was 5.

Shelia: What advice would you give other kids interested in acting?
Emma: It’s a lot of work, but if you enjoy it, you should definitely do it and go for it.

Shelia: How has your life changed since your success? Do your friends treat you differently?
Emma: my friends don’t treat me differently. A lot of people come up to me and ask me about Unfabulous but it’s really cool.

Shelia: What would your best friend say about you?
Emma: I don’t know. Hopefully good things

Shelia: What do you want for Christmas?
Emma: A video camera. I like making mini-movies.

Shelia: Is there anything else you would like to say to your fans.
Emma: Thank you all for your support.

Be on the lookout for the movie Aquamarine starring Emma Roberts in April 2006. In the meantime, you can catch her on Nickolodeon’s Unfabulous or pick up your copy of the soundtrack Unfabulous and more: Emma Roberts.
