January Quick Glance

Hello, and welcome back! I hope the holiday season hasn't been too stressful for all of you, and that the upcoming new year is all you hope for. This time out, I have just a quick look at two new releases for you, and two reissues.

Lord Ryburn's Apprentice Lord Ryburn's Apprentice (Signet Regency) by Laurie Bishop is up first, with Georgiana Marland falling for the man engaged to be her tutor before her Society debut, Lord Ryburn. Cute and sweet, this one won't turn off a true Regency fan.

The Ruby Ghost The Ruby Ghost (Signet Regency) by June Calvin is next, with Penelope Jones taking on a job as governess with the family of Silverthorne Castle, and bothered by family cousin James Betterton more than the ghosts in the place.

Rake's Ransom and a Loyal Companion Rake's Ransom and a Loyal Companion (Signet Regency) has two previously released tales by Regency fave author Barbara Metzger, and for readers who've discovered her more recently and missed these in their original form, these will be a welcome addition to their collections.

Irresistible Forces Irresistible Forces (Signet) is the mass market release of 2004's anthology with stories by Jo Beverley, Mary Jo Putney, Deb Stover, Catherine Asaro, Jennifer Roberson and Lois McMaster Bujold, combining romance and fantasy in most cases. If you were wondering about the start of Ms. Putney's 'Guardian' series, her contribution to this collection is the very first of those tales.

Until next time, happy reading! And Happy New Year!
