Inserting Clipart or Pictures in Word
Guest Author - Tammy Murks

Wouldn't it be easier to just insert a picture into Microsoft word to design your projects from there? Yes, if Microsoft Word is what you know and are comfortable with. I know that learning how to insert clipart, pictures and Wordart can be difficult! I did a little research on it, and was able to come up with some "How To" instructions for you. I am giving you a "Quick Reference" of my 2 favorite art inserts. Good luck on your next Microsoft Word Clipart endeavors.

Inserting art or a picture stored in a file:

1. In Microsoft Word, put your cursor where you want to insert the clipart.
2. From the INSERT menu, select PICTURE and choose FROM FILE.
3. By clicking the arrow at top of screen, you will see the drive or folder containing your desired art.
4. CLICK on your desired folder/drive.
5. DOUBLE CLICK on the desired Picture. Walla! Your art has been inserted.

Inserting WordArt into your Page:
1. In Microsoft Word, put your cursor where you want to insert the wordart.
2. From the INSERT menu, select PICTURE and choose WORDART.
3. Window opens. CLICK on format you like.
4. CLICK arrow next to FONT. Click on desired font.
5. CLICK arrow next to SIZE. Click size #.
6. Type your text and hit ENTER.

Some Tips for You:
•To move your art, click on it. Click and hold the right mouse as you drag the art where you want it placed.
•CUT and then PASTE under EDIT to move the object where you want it.
•You can UNDO the last steps you did by clicking on EDIT, and UNDO. This may be done several times.
