Hippy Hoppity Stimulus Rebates On The Way
When can you expect to receive your rebate? Hippity Hoppity Rebates are on the way. Sadly they are not being delivered by the Easter Bunny for Easter but the IRS will be delivering them beginning in May. :) According to the IRS the Stimulus Rebates are scheduled to begin being issued on May 2nd.

Taxpayers who elected to receive their refunds on their tax returns by direct deposit and whose social security numbers have the last two digits of 00 through 20 will have their payment tranmitted on May 2nd. The payments will be transmitted to the same account that their tax refund was transmitted to. Paper checks will begin being mailed May 16th to those people whose social numbers end in 00 through 09. Payments will continue to go out through July 11th to those taxpayers who file their returns by April 15th according to the following time table:

Direct Deposit SS# 00-20 May 2nd transmission
Direct Deposit SS# 21-75 May 9th transmission
Direct Deposit SS# 76-99 May 16th transmission

Paper Check SS# 00-09 Check to be mailed May 16th
Paper Check SS# 10-18 Check to be mailed May 23rd
Paper Check SS# 19-25 Check to be mailed May 30th
Paper Check SS# 26-38 Check to be mailed June 6th
Paper Check SS# 39-51 Check to be mailed June 13th
Paper Check SS# 52-63 Check to be mailed June 20th
Paper Check SS# 64-75 Check to be mailed June 27th
Paper Check SS# 76-87 Check to be mailed July 4th
Paper Check SS# 88-99 Check to be mailed July 11th

IRS information indicates that those people who file a return after April 15th will receive their economic stimulus payments with a probable turn around time of approximately two weeks after return receipt. Returns must be filed by October 15th to receive an Economic Stimulus Payment this year.
