HORSE - A Basketball Game

Guest Author - Lori Collvins

If you've got a basketball, a hoop, and some friends, it's easy to play the game HORSE. Great for fun in the sun!

The first player (1) chooses any spot on the floor. The player (1) tries to shoot the ball into the hoop. If the shooter (1) makes it, the ball is passed on to the next player (2) in line who attempts the same shot. If the player (2)misses, they (2) get the letter "H" associated with them. If they (3) make it then the ball is passed again on to the next player.

When a player makes a basket from a location, the other players must give a try from that same spot. When all people have tried, the next person in line chooses a spot and goes for a basket.

Each person who misses is assigned a letter. Again, they start with "H", then go to "O", "R", "S", and "E".

A person who gathers all 5 letters is out of the game. The game keeps going until only one person is left!
