Wahmies One Size Diaper Review

Guest Author - Julie Renee Holland

Wahmies One Size Pocket Diaper is truly different from anything else out there. I was skeptical when I first heard that Wahmies had something new on the way. There are a lot of one size diapers out there and a lot of them are just way too bulky on a newborn. What truly new design could come out of the diapering world? Wahmies One Size Diaper really surpried me. This diaper really does fit newborns and toddlers. You can really use one diaper from birth to potty training. I have even used this as an overnight diaper on a 35 pound 2 year old (stuffed with a microfiber insert and a trifolded Little for Now hemp prefold).

One great feature of the Wahmies One Size Diaper is the velour lining. It offers stay dry protection that won't pill over time. This is the only diaper I have seen with a polyester velour lining. The advantage of polyester is that it provides a wicking layer so the moisture goes through to the insert and the diaper still feels dry. Velour is made with a short pile so it feels soft and can't pill.

Made with polyester PUL (polyurethane laminate), the Wahmies One Size Cloth Diaper won't wick at the legs the way cotton prints can. One of our testers wore it for 12 hours overnight (when stuffed as mentioned above) with no leaks.

The fasteners are at first a bit strange looking, but after you have tried them a few times I think you'll love the unique way that Wahmies One Size Diapers close. The fasteners are very secure and yet easy to do. Toddlers can't remove them easily, so you are much less likely to end up with a streaker on your hands. No snaps, no pins, no hook and loop. There are dozens of possible settings on this diaper so you can customize it to fit your baby. No hook and loop means you don't need to worry about fold back laundry tabs or messing with diaper chains in the laundry. These small fasteners are also quieter in the dryer than snaps.

Wahmies is made by the same company that makes Drybees diapers, so you can rest assured that while these are a new diaper for Wahmies, they are made with all the skill and expertise of one of the most reliable diaper makers in the country. I love Drybees diapers and I think they are one of the best kept secrets in the cloth diapering world. They fit great and work better than most of the top-selling brands. Wahmies has a great new diaper and I plan to stock up on them for my own stash with thenew Wahmies One Size Diaper.
