Biographies for April 20-26
Starting this week I will offer weekly listings of the biographies to be featured on the Biography Channel.

For the week of April 20-27, a total of 22 shows are planned:

Linda Blair
Known for her role as the young teen possessed by the devil in the 1974 film The Exorcist.

Cameron Diaz
Actress known for her roles in Something About Mary, My Best Friend’s Wedding and Charlie’s Angels. She won her first film role with Jim Carrey in the 1994 action-comedy The Mask.

Jenny McCarthy
Model, TV host, actress, screenwriter, author. When her son was diagnosed with autism, she became an advocate in the fight against autism.

Sandra Bullock
A-List actress known for movies such as Speed, Miss Congeniality, Hope Floats, Two Weeks Notice. She is married to Jessie James of West Coast Choppers fame.

Drew Barrymore
A movie star since a young child, she has grown from roles such as in E.T. to Never Been Kissed, Charlie’s Angels, 50 First Dates, Fever Pitch and Music and Lyrics.

Hedda Hopper
Controversial Hollywood columnist, who used to make stars and blacklist political enemies.

Ann Landers
Legendary advice columnist.

Home Improvement
1990s sitcom about Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor, the accident-prone host of a small television show about tools, and his dysfunctional family. Tim Allen and Patricia Richardson star.

John Stamos
Actor and musician known as Blackie Parrish on General Hospital in the 1980s and as Uncle Jesse on Full House. Starred in the ABC sitcom Jake in Progress. Married and divorced actress Rebecca Romijn.

Erik Estrada
Actor known for his role as Frank Poncherello “Ponch” on the television series CHIPS.

Mahatma Gandhi
Indian nationalist leader known for helping the oppressed.

Myrna Loy
Actress who starred in the 1934 The Thin Man. By 1936, she was the top female box-office draw, and was awarded an honorary Oscar in 1991.

Tatum O’Neal
Child star known for her movies Paper Moon and Bad News Bears and daughter of actors Joanna Moore and Ryan O’Neal. Divorced tennis star John McEnroe in 1994.

The New Mickey Mouse Club
In 1989, The Disney Corporation brought back The Mickey Mouse Club, which gave career starts to many including Britney Spears, Cristina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling and Keri Russell.

The Harry Potter Kids
The young cast of the first Harry Potter movie in 2002 (Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint) became household names after the success of the first movie.

Jack Nicholson
Legendary actor known for his roles ranging from Easy Rider in 1969 to The Shining, One Who Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, As Good As It Gets and The Departed.

Billy Bob Thornton
Bad-boy actor known for roles in Sling Blade, Monster’s Ball, Armageddon and Bad Santa. Previously married to Angelina Jolie.

Warren Buffet
Investment entrepreneur and executive. In 2006, he said he would give away his entire fortune to charity, committing 85 percent of it to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This donation became the largest act of charitable giving in U.S. history.

Donald Trump
Real estate developer, mogul, known for his marriages and divorces, and for his popular reality TV series The Apprentice.

Ted Bundy
Convicted serial killer.

Louis Lepke
Racketeer who extorted millions of dollars from businesses.

Natalie Wood
Child star made famous by Miracle on 34th Street, Rebel without a Cause, Splendor in the Grass and West Side Story. She drowned in a boating accident in 1981. Married to actor Robert Wagner.
