One Life To Live

Nothing particularly outstanding happened last week. Am I the only one who was disappointed? This very talented cast seems to be stuck in a rut of boring, draw-out, badly written stories.

Nash came back to Llanview to get back Tess and their daughter. Up until Friday, I really thought Nash stood a real chance of winning Jessica’s heart. Throughout the whole ordeal, he has been more understanding and compassionate than Antonio. Nash has tried to respect Antonio’s role in Jessica’s life, where Antonio has done nothing but try to drive Nash away. The moment that Nash kidnapped Jessica and Brennan, he lost all credibility. All he cares about is what Nash wants. Taking them will cost Nash any shred of respect he may have earned in Llanview.

I also do not get why Claudia was so willing to help If she wants Nash for herself, why would she distract Antonio?

David did not really shoot Thomas McBain. I can’t say I am that surprised. He and Paige have always known that Spencer is up to no good. He is even more despicable than viewers were initially led to believe. I think we--as well as the citizens of Llanview--are about to realize just how evil Dr. Truman really is.

The one bright spot last week was Nora. She has always been one of my favorite characters. Watching her walk to Matthew was very heart-warming. Nora has been through so much in the past year. It’s nice that something is going right for her! As much as I am hoping for a full recovery from her stroke, I love the way it is playing out slowly. That makes the rehabilitation much more realistic. I don’t mind a story that plays out slowly, so long as progress is made.

For some reason, I can’t seem to get too concerned about Adriana and her stalker. That she became such an overnight sensation as a model is nearly unbelievable. That the writers now expect us to believe that Rex is her stalker is even more ludicrous! He may not be Mr. Perfect, but Rex loves Adriana. He would never be behind her stalking, just to make himself look like a hero. I still think the culprit is connected to Dorian in someway. Not that I am saying Dorian set this up. She would do anything to protect her girls, but I don’t think she would do something intentionally to hurt one of them.
