Emma Anzai - Only Female Member of Sick Puppies

How does Emma Anzai feel about being the only female member of the trio Sick Puppies? Emma responds, “I never really thought about it that much.”

The other members are guitarist and singer Shimon Moore, who Emma describes as the “energetic front man” and Mark Goodwin, “the really laid back…nice guy.”

They met in high school in Australia. “We’ve been in the States on and off for about a year,” says Emma.

Although the climate in the US is similar to her home town in Australia, Emma states, “Where we’re from it rains more and its more humid.” She prefers the beaches, more specifically the ones in “Malibu.”

Their CD HEADPHONE INJURIES is a Digital EP and is available for download from their website http://www.sickpuppies.net.

Some might wonder how a trio from Australia ended up in the US. “We won this national radio contest in Sydney. Through that we got management and a record deal in Australia.”

With their family being half way across the world, Emma states, “My family is very helpful and supportive.

Sick Puppies has been busy making music, but when Emma does find a little time to unwind, she says, “I enjoy sitting on the couch relaxing and watching movies.”
