Harley Million Mile Ride

Harley Million Mile Ride
Want to make part of Harley motorcycle history? On Monday, June 30th, 2008, Harley Davidson Harley Owners Group (HOG) members will take part in a worldwide cumulative ride that has set a record goal to have HOG members from all over the world log 1,000,000 riding miles on a single day.

The plan is for HOG members, whether riders or passengers, to log into the Harley Davidson exclusive HOG member website and record the number of miles they have ridden on June 30th. This is the first ever attempt at a worldwide ride and what a concept. Just the knowledge that you are helping make history and at the same time having a great time. The only way it could be any better is to have all brands of motorcycles ride together that day and make one huge statement.

Every year, starting with 2008, riders will band together to ride around the block, solo, across the country, or to work to log a million cumulative miles on the last day of June.

The Harley Owners Group is an exclusive membership you can obtain by:
Owning a Harley motorcycle, and paying annual dues. The types of memberships available for Harley owners and their associates are: Full Member Status, Associate Member Status, and Life Member Status. Full member and Life Member Status require that you personally own a Harley motorcycle. Associate Member Status and Life Associate Member Status require that you join through a Full or Life Member.

The benefits are large including an exclusive magazine, patches, pins, riding awards and contests, touring handbook, state, local and national rallies and riding with your brother and sister motorcyclists. For more information you can visit www.hog.com.

There are over one million brother and sister HOG members throughout the world in the Harley Davidson HOG family. Imagine what goals can be reached if every member rides on million mile day and logs their miles.

For those of you who are HOG members and Harley fans, hope to see you out and about on million mile day. All motorcyclists should be supportive and paying particular attention for motorcycles that day.

Until next week, ride safe and have fun!

Nancy
